In line with part of our school motto, part of which is to learn deeply we believe art, craft and design embodies some of the highest forms of human creativity. We aim to make our high-quality art and design education engaging, inspiring and challenging for pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. We want pupils’ progress to be seen through their ability to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. By identifying opportunities through cross-curricular links children will know how art and design both reflects and shapes our history, and contributes to the culture, creativity and wealth of our nation.
